Elaine Claire Legnon

Elaine Claire Legnon passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife of the late Tony Loyacano. Daughter of the late Lidie Levron Legnon and Sidney J. Legnon. Sister of Janet L. Ricouard (A.J.) and the late Lloyd Legnon, Muriel Legnon, Leroy Legnon, Lillian L. Gammon, Lorraine L. Walsh, Loys L. Hilgert, and Loretta L. Kuczynski. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Elaine give 22 years of her life as a Marianite Nun and taught in many Catholic schools in Louisiana. She also taught at Roosevelt Middle School before she retired from the Jefferson Parish School System. She then enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. She was a lifelong resident of Algiers, LA. Relatives and friends of the family also the Marianite Nuns of Holy Cross are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 11am. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 9am until 11am.
