Donald Anthony Petrie

Donald Anthony Petrie entered into eternal rest with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 18, 2018. From the comfort of his home, surrounded by his wife of 47 years, daughters and grandchildren at the tender age of 69 an angel of mercy came to take his hand and escort him to his heavenly dwelling. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Trauth Petrie, daughters Kourtnie Lynn Petrie and Kendle Marie Petrie, six grandchildren Matthew St. Germain, Ashton Savoy, Jonathan St.Germain, Isabella Ana Hope, Nathaniel Isaiah James, and Ivanna Aerial Blessing, his two brothers Albert James Petrie and Louis Gannuch. He is preceeded in eternal rest by his father Jules Joseph Petrie, his mother Sylvia Banks Gannuch, twin brother Ronald Joseph Petrie, brother Dennis Michael Petrie and father in law Douglas Joseph Trauth, Sr. His courage to serve and protect our country and freedom as a Vietnam Vet in the United States Marine Corps is something that will never be forgotten and is recognized as an honorable sacrifice and truly respected by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME located at 7040 Lapalco Blvd. Marrero, LA on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 6:00pm - Midnight. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 8AM until 1:30PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1:30PM.
