Donald "Don" Charles Laborie Sr.

Donald “Don” Charles Laborie, Sr., a lifelong residence of Marrero, LA, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the age of 79. Husband to Dolores S. Laborie for 59 years. Son of the late Charles and Bertha Laborie. Father of Denise Laborie–Pichoff and Donald C. Laborie, Jr. Grandfather of Sheri McBee (Brandon), Krystal Beckham, Hannah Pichoff, Dylan Pichoff, Brittany Trahan (Josh), Daniel C. Laborie (Addy), and the late Danielle Laborie. Great Grandfather to Kollin, Peyton, Elijah, Elise, Jasper, and Preston. Brother of Jacquelyn Laborie Young (the late James). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Don served his country as an air traffic controller in the U.S. Air Force then continued his career with the FAA, stationed at New Orleans International and Lakefront Airports for many years. He loved spending time with family and friends, was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge 469 of Belle Chasse, an avid fisherman, and was a Judo black belt instructor. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 9am -11am at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME at 2100 WEST BANK EXPRESSWAY with the funeral service to immediately follow. Interment at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna, LA. will follow conclusion of the service. An online guest book is available at www.mothefunerals.com .
