Donald Henry Comardelle

Donald H. Comardelle, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude Picou Comardelle and Clarence Joseph Comardelle Sr.; his siblings, Richard Comardelle, Robin Comardelle, Clarence Joseph Comardelle Jr., Norman Comardelle, Huey Matherne and Lionel Matherne; his brothers-in-law, T.C. Lee and Robert Blanchard; his sister-in-law, Teresa Barthelemy. He is the beloved husband of 50 years of Betty Barthelemy Comardelle. He is the loving father of Rhonda Comardelle Arceneaux (Carroll) and Debra Comardelle (Willie Rankin Jr.). He is the devoted grandfather of Kayla Comardelle, Eleni Arceneaux, Emma Rankin, Cassie Rankin and Donald Arceneaux. He is loving great grandfather of Jaimie Matalamaki III. He is the loving brother of Patsy Lee and Loveless Comardelle (Joann). He is the loving brother-in-law of Phyllis Comardelle, Kirk Barthelemy, Sybil Blanchard, Victor Barthelemy (Irene) and Vivian Denesse (Eugene). He is also survived by the son he never had, John Taliancich Jr.; Godson, Shannon Odom; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A native of Buras, LA, Donald was a longtime employee of Plaquemines Parish. An avid car enthusiast, he enjoyed going to auto auctions and working after retirement with John’s Towing Service. Most of all he enjoyed helping others and spending time with his loving family. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to express a very special thank you to Dr. Nihar Mathur, Physical therapist, Justin and the compassionate and caring staff of West Jefferson Medical Center. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Sunday, February 25, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00PM at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA. Private Family Interment at a later date.
