Debra Despaux Tassin

Debra Despaux “Debbie” Tassin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the age of 56. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James A. “Jimmy” Tassin; her father, Leo Joseph Cheramie. She is the devoted mother of Derrek J. Tassin (Kristen N. Bourque). She is the loving step- mother of the Tassin children, James, Rickey, Dinah, Cindy, Joe and Dickey. She is the loving grandmother of Helena Laya Tassin. She is the loving daughter of August “Sonny” Despaux and Sheila Cheramie Despaux and Gail Gossett Cheramie. She is the dear sister of Kim Guidry, Kent Cheramie, Rhonda Boudreaux, Wendy Danos, Carrie Boudreaux and Toni Ronquille. She is also survived by her Goddaughter, Crystal Wilson and Godson, Gadge Wilson; her best friends, Kimmy Wilson and Bozo Rosenberry; numerous step- grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, February 17, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM followed by a Memorial Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM at Visitation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 3500 Ames Blvd., Marrero, LA.
