Danny Lee Bowles, passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the age of 67. He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston L. Bowles and Dorothy J. Bowles; his nephew, Shawn Bowles. He is the beloved husband of Desiree D. Bowles. He is the beloved father of DeAnna Tillery (Todd), Derek L. Bowles, Lori Talamo (Joshua) and Vincent Burgo (Sonya). He is the devoted grandfather of Kaitlyn Tillery, Dennin Bowles, Brayden Talamo, Olivia Talamo, Nicholas Burgo, Kamryn Burgo and Owen Burgo. He is the loving brother of Beverly Robison. He is the loving uncle of William Robison, Shaina Bowles, Brittany Cortez and Chad Bowles. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Donna J. Bowles, other family and numerous friends. Born August 30, 1950 in Sayre, Oklahoma, Danny was raised in Buras, Louisiana. He graduated from Buras High School in 1968 and Nicholls State University in 1974. A resident of Belle Chasse, Louisiana for the past 44 years, he loved spending most of his life as a Plaquemines Parish resident. In May of 1994, Danny founded Bowles and Associates Insurance after retiring from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office with the rank of Lieutenant. Danny loved to worship and was a member of Promise Land Church in Marrero, Louisiana. He also served on the Advisory board of Stonethrowers Ministries. He previously served on the board and Vice-President of EXCELeration Foundation in the community. Other memberships include Nicholls State University Alumni Association, Professional Insurance Agents of Louisiana, Independent Insurance Agents of Louisiana, Gerard H. Barrois Masonic Lodge # 469 F&AM, New Orleans Scottish Rite Consistory and Jerusalem Temple Shriners. A special thanks to Doctor John Cole and the complete team of caring physicians and staff of Ochsner Main Campus as well as the dedicated staff of St. Margaret’s Hospice. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Saturday, March 10, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA.
