On Saturday, April 7th, 2018, Charles Joseph Oser left his journey here on earth to be with the Lord at the age of 93. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Robinson, his loving wife of 57 years, Joan Camus Oser, son, Frank John Oser, and daughter, Patricia Oser Crews. Charlie began a long career in the automotive industry, working for various repair facilities, and finally retired from the New Orleans Police Department as a mechanic. Charlie loved to spend time with his family and friends, going to the casino or hanging out at his favorite "watering hole", Plaisance Bar. He always enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and having fish fries or seafood boils, especially with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Charles is survived by his children, Raymond and Maryann Oser Anthony, Joseph and Phyliss Oser, daughter-in-law, Lorie Oser, Charles and Cynthia Oser Ramey, Tammy Oser, Gene and Natalie Oser, Tim and Sheila Oser Priske, Sheryle Oser and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA at 1pm. Visitation will be held from 11am until 1pm.
