Cecelia Solis

Cecelia Solis peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at the age of 64. Beloved daughter of the late Walker Solis and Marie Louise Achee Solis. Loving sister of Francis (Edna), David (Debra), Marie Solis Christian (the late Dr. George Christian), Vance (Mary), Roger (Kathleen), Paul (Amelia), Thomas (the late Penelope), her twin, Lucille, and Manuel. Cecelia is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Cecelia was born in Port Sulphur, LA., and was a resident of New Orleans, LA., for 35 years. She is a retired employee of the New Orleans Public Library. She graduated in 1972 from Port Sulphur High School, and she attended both Nicholls State University and Southeastern University. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to a charity of your choice in memory of Cecelia. Family, friends, and employees of New Orleans Public Library are invited to attend the memorial visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA., on Monday, October 9, 2017, from 9AM until 11AM. A memorial mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM. Memorial interment will be at Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
