Carol Borne Cassreino

Carol Borne Cassreino passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Beloved wife of the late John E. Cassreino, Jr. Mother of John G. Cassreino (Christian). Grandmother of Emmett and Emma Cassreino. Daughter of the late Theresa Manale Borne and Graham J. Borne. Mother in spirit to Deborah Rutherford. Age 73 years and a lifelong resident of Algiers, LA. Carol retired from New Orleans City Hall after 17 years, and went on to work with Azar-Medivision, as well as Avon consulting and managing rental properties to keep busy and socialize with her dear friends. She actively participated in the Krewe of Cleopatra as a former float lieutenant, as well as Morpheus and the Algiers Irish Rebels. She loved her animals and supported the LASPCA. She was a faithful parishioner of Holy Name of Mary Catholich Church and Holy Spirit Catholic Church of Algiers. Carol was known to all as a vibrant character, a wonderful friend, a sassy 'tough Dago,' and she will be deeply missed by everyone.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, Algiers, LA on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11 AM. Visitation will be held at church from 9 AM until 10:30 AM when Words of Remembrance will be shared until mass time. Interment St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Algiers, LA.
