Byron Adams Denson-Connors

Byron Denson Connors departed this life on April 19, 2018 after a lengthy illness. He was 59 years old. Byron is a native of New Orleans, LA and lived here for 21 one years before moving to Augusta, GA. He remained in Augusta until 2005, at which time he returned to Louisiana to be closer to his family. Byron was preceded in death by his stepfather Paul Connors and his sister Novis Brown. He is survived by his mother Clarese Connors; his sisters Leone Coe (Randy), Chelsee Connors, and Chandra Miller; his brothers Joseph Connors (Peggy) and Robert Connors; his nephews Aaron Connors, Brandon Connors, and Robert Connors, Jr.; and, his niece Christa Miller. While in Augusta, Byron worked in various positions for EZ-Go Golf Carts/Textron for 25 years. Upon his return to Louisiana, he joined IATSE Local 478 where he became an integral part of the construction component of the Louisiana film industry and also a certified OSHA instructor for the final years of his life. He will be remembered for his never-ending sense of humor and sharp wit, his total dedication to the New Orleans Saints, his enthusiasm for a good day of fishing, and his devotion to and love of family and friends. Special thanks are sent to Dr. Nicole Rogers who cared for Byron over the past 3 years. She was supportive and very kind to Byron during his illness and his family is extremely grateful for her presence in his life. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA from 8:30 am until 11:00 am. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 with interment to follow at Westlawn Cemetery, which is located at 1225 Whitney Boulevard, Gretna, LA.
