Byrdie LeBlanc Collier passed away August 1, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Edward Collier for 62 years. Mother of John Edward Colllier and Mary Wilma Collier. Honorary mother of Mark Parnell (Carol). Daughter of the late Inez Orillion LeBlanc and John LeBlanc. Sister of Bobby LeBlanc (Lena) and the late Allie LeBlanc (Mildred), Alvin LeBlanc (Lola), and Bertha Settoon (late Leo). Honorary grandmother to many children. Also survived by numerous relatives, friends, and her beloved dog Sandy. Age 101 years, born in Gonzales, LA, native of Ponchatoula, LA, and resided in Algiers, LA for the past 54 years. She spent her career as a caregiver with Oak Park Baptist Church Nursery. Byrdie was deeply loved for her compassionate nature, kindness, her smile, and was never known to speak ill of anyone. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. Special thanks to the staff of Canon Hospice for their care.
