Barbara Vasbinder Deforest passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014 at the age of 67. Beloved wife of the late David Deforest and former wife of the late Terry Lee Bladsacker. Mother of Patricia Naquin (Ross), Terry Joe Bladsacker (Michele), and the late Terry Lynn Bladsacker. Daughter of the late Ethel Luscy Vasbinder and Joseph Vasbinder, Sr. Sister of Susan Hollis (late Glen), Pamela Vasbinder, Joseph Vasbinder, Jr. (Debbie), and Lori Lanier (Sherman). Grandmother of Schantelle Ortolano (Kermit), Brittney Bradberry (Craig), and Kayla Couey, Courtney, Brandon, Brianna, and Zachary Bladsacker. Great-grandmother of Alisha and Addison Ortolano, and Alaina Bradberry. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives, as well as her Chihuahua baby, Chloe. Barbara retired from the Jefferson Parish Attorney’s Office after over 30 years of service and received countless awards while there. She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing, racing cars and motorbikes, and crafts, painting, and sewing. She will be dearly missed by all. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 1:30 PM.
