Abdon "Bill" Perque

Abdon "Bill" Perque passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of 67 years to Gerdie Mahler Perque. Father of Darlene Perque Adams (Mel) and Nadine Perque Augello (Mike Hinyub). Son of the late Ovida and Sydney Perque. Preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Grandfather of Scott Adams (Kelly), Ryan Adams (Angela), Todd Adams (Erin), and Nicholas Augello. Great grandfather of Haleigh, Gabrielle, Wesley, Meredith, Lily, Isabella, Todd, Jr., Max, and Alona. Great-great grandfather of Jiovanni. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Arena. He loved fishing and vegetable gardening, sharing his bounty with everyone. He was a very giving person. He was a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11am. Interment, Restlawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 8:30am until 11am. The family wishes to express their appreciation to his caregivers,Vivian, Jeff, and Donna and also to Canon Hospice for their loving care.
